I’ve no idea how to grade something so bizarre. As the name implies, you have to find Fado. This results in mad mashing of A and R trying to find him. If you miss, you get fog, if you don’t just have your turn ended by an old woman. One thing’s for sure: Where’s Wally in Fire Emblem is a creative idea, and you get points for that.

Presentation: 2/5

The title screen’s vanilla and the fog palette doesn’t really agree with the outside tiles. However, the final sequence has something unique.

Story: 2/5

It’s pretty much vanilla FE8’s opening, except Fado’s playing Where’s Wally. Points come from the absurdity of the situation and the funny text when you select one of Fado’s many cousins.

Find the one that’s the real Fado, press A.

I can’t see this taking more than two or three turns – The first turn to get your bearings and the enemy phase will give you time to distinguish the real Peer from the edited ones with different trim, clothes, or hair.

But I’m a graphics person at heart, so maybe it’s only trivial to me.

The second part is a traditional where’s waldo which suffers from not telling me what a waldo is. I saw the answer in about five seconds; and found it interesting how you chose to make two tiles be correct.

I basically just don’t understand this at all.

Presentation: 1/5

It’s vanilla FE8. It’s Castle Renais. It has a whole bunch of the lesser-seen classes, though, so that’s pretty neat; and paid attention to flip any map sprites facing right to make them bear higher visual resemblance to Fado’s Peer class.

Story: 2/5

There was a whole nothing with mostly “It’s the opening to FE8”.
I can’t give points for copy-pasted setup and a whole like, twelve lines of unique content.

The multitude of fail dialogues and R descriptions are pretty cool though.

Really easy but really neat, all the custom stuff that must’ve went into it is admirable too.

Presentation: 4/5

Really neat for the most part, everything is presented well and the Where’s Waldo surprise at the end was really nicely put together.

Story: 2/5

Does its job but it obviously reuses lines from the FE8 prologue.
