I brought a group of friends with me in order to play Snakes and Ladders on the Game Boy. I ended up landing on a mamkute while everyone else landed on warps. In other words, exactly what Snakes and Ladders is.
Presentation: 5/5
The title screen was cute, the music was good, and the board has actual proper art drawn on it. I can’t really ask for any more.

I have played a lot of board games. A lot of them extremely complicated and rewarding, plenty are easy to think about and others are not so much so.
However, I’ve played worse games.
Presentation: 4/5
It has a whole custom map that isn’t like, tiles anymore. It’s completely all brand new and to say that it doesn’t stand out from other entries would be one of the biggest lies of our time. The music is good and the gameplay graphics are pretty clear. It only lacks spiffiness.
Story: 5/5
I was enraptured. I don’t want to talk about it because it blew me away so I want people to see it blind. It was short and sweet, made me laugh, made me genuinely just break a smile.
In fact, overall, that’s why this review is so curt. Talking about the story or the presentation requires me to spoil it.

It’s a fun little board game, the fact that it can be played with up to three people is very fun and makes it something with long standing value. Although I will say that it feels a little unbalanced, you can strategize a little bit but it’s nothing more than snakes and ladders really. Still very fun though.

Very cool, the board was really unique, the custom music was good, and all the sound effects and such really adds to the experience.

Very simple but pretty fun. Uses exclusively vanilla portraits though which has its problems when it includes Anna, a character with FE6 colors speaking alongside the FE8 characters.
